There is a second reason that matters more here than in most roles. Recognition tends to flow upward in healthcare, and CNAs frequently go unnamed in the very units they hold together. Something with their name and title on it is a small, specific correction to that — and specific is what makes a gift feel considered rather than dutiful.

What exists, and what does not

There is no CNA product and no CNA cap

We searched the full range. There is no jacket with a CNA design, and no CNA scrub cap. Our embroidered scrub caps are a fixed set of role and specialty designs, and none of them is CNA, nurse aide, or nursing assistant. The same is true across the printed scrub caps, which are pattern-based rather than lettered.

One clarification worth making, because the names look similar. The range does include a Dental Assistant cap. That is a different discipline entirely — dental practice rather than nursing care — and we would not suggest it as a CNA substitute. A cap that says the wrong role is worse than a cap that says nothing.

What does work: CNA as free text on a jacket

The route that actually works is straightforward, and it is explicitly supported rather than a workaround. Our jackets carry free-text personalization on the chest, and the main healthcare fleece jacket describes itself as suiting you "whether you're an RN, PA, CNA, or NP." Put a name and CNA on the chest and you have exactly the gift you were looking for — it just comes from a customizable jacket rather than a CNA-branded one.

This is the same pattern we found for the medical assistant, where no dedicated product exists either. The difference here is that the jacket copy names CNA directly, which makes it about as close to an endorsed route as a general product gets.

CNA is not RN, BSN, LPN or NP

Worth being precise, because these get blurred and the people holding them care about the difference. CNA is a certification. RN is a licence. BSN is a degree. LPN and NP are different again.

The Digi Stripe fleece is a quieter alternative for someone who does not want a plain block colour. It comes in four colours and stops at 3XL rather than 4XL — check that against the recipient's size before you commit, because it is the kind of difference that only surfaces at the last step.

Dry-fit jackets for mixed care teams

Care teams are rarely made up of one role. Once you are buying for a floor rather than a person — CNAs alongside nurses, techs and support staff — the custom medical dry-fit jacket is often the more practical base. It is lighter and more uniform-looking, and it supports name and title, department, and logo placement on the chest, back, or sleeve where the product copy says so.

Scrub caps for care staff

Fixed role and specialty designs

Embroidered caps are fixed designs, each tied to a role or specialty — surgical specialties, RN and BSN, OR Nurse, Critical Care and a handful of others. They are not blank caps you add your own text to. For a CNA, the honest position is that none of them says the right thing.

Printed patterns, the role-agnostic option

The other route is a printed scrub cap. These are pattern-based rather than role-based, so they carry no title at all — which means they suit any role, including one the embroidered range does not cover. For a CNA, a printed cap is often the more comfortable choice precisely because it makes no claim about the job, and it pairs well with a jacket that is already doing the credential work.

Getting the title and placement right

Only use credentials they actually hold

Certification timing matters. Someone partway through a CNA program has not certified yet, and a jacket that says otherwise sits unworn until it is true. If you cannot ask without spoiling the surprise, their name alone is always safe and never dates.

The same applies upward. Plenty of CNAs are studying toward RN or LPN, and it is tempting to give them the credential they are working on. Give them the one they hold — the other becomes a gift they have to grow into rather than one they can wear on Monday.

Keep it short enough to read

Chest embroidery is a small area, and the more you crowd into it, the smaller every element becomes. A name plus CNA reads well across a room. A name plus a credential plus a unit plus a facility name becomes a block nobody can make out, and the letters that mattered get lost in it.

Facility and school logos need permission first

Nursing home, hospital, and training-school logos all belong to someone. We need the owner's written permission before we can embroider any of them, and that applies to a facility mark on a care-team order just as much as to a hospital brand.

Choosing colour and size without guessing

Colour

Black and Navy are the only two colours available across every jacket family and the embroidered caps. If you are mixing styles in one order — fleece for some of the team, dry-fit for the rest — those two are the only choices guaranteed to be offered on all of them.

Shared colour names still do not guarantee identical shades across different fabrics: a fleece navy and a dry-fit navy are both navy, and they may not be the same navy side by side. Size

We do not publish measurement tables, so please do not size someone from a chart that is not there. For a surprise gift, think about what they already wear over scrubs and how they like a jacket to sit — most CNAs want room to move rather than a close fit, given how physical the work is.

CNAs, nurses, techs and support staff all hold different titles, and assuming a uniform credential across the order is the fastest way to hand someone the wrong letters.
